What if I'm just running late?
Then your message goes out at the deadline. Give yourself some slack beyond your usual route time, check in the moment you're home, and tell your person it's a check-in, so they call you before they worry.
Does the person I name need an app?
No. They get an email or a text, whichever you chose, with the message you wrote and a way to reach you. No app, no account, nothing to install.
Does it share my location?
No. Nothing follows you on the route. The message says what you wrote, so put your route and the time you left in it.
What if I lose signal on the route?
The countdown runs in the cloud, not on your phone, so it fires at the deadline whether or not you have signal. That is the point, and it is also how a false alarm happens: if you are fine but cannot check in, your message still goes out.
How does the free trial work?
On the yearly plan you get 7 days free when you arm your countdown: text alerts, up to 20 recipients per channel and up to 100 countdowns. We take your card at the start and charge $90 for the year when the 7 days end. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. Monthly is $15, billed from day one.
Is this an emergency service?
No. It does not call police and it does not dispatch anyone. It delivers your message to the people you chose.
