Common questions about setting a check-in when you close up or work late alone.
I forget things. What if I'm just slow getting out?
Give yourself slack: set the timer longer than your usual close, and check in the moment you're out. If you miss it, your message goes out, so tell your person it's a check-in and to call you first.
Does my employer see any of this?
No. It's your own account, your contacts and your message. Nobody is notified but the person you name.
What does my friend have to install?
Nothing. They get an email or a text, whichever you chose. No app, no account.
What if I don't have signal in the stockroom?
Checking in needs a connection. Arm it before you go in, or set the deadline for when you expect to be outside.
Is this an emergency service?
No. It does not call 911 and it does not dispatch anyone. It sends your message to the people you chose.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, on the yearly plan: 7 days free when you arm your first countdown. We take your card at the start and charge $90 for the year when the 7 days end. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. Monthly is $15, billed from day one.
